I'm Özkan Batmaz
I design and develop custom ikas and Shopify stores, integrations and ecommerce apps for brands. By treating design and development as one connected process, I aim to keep the entire store consistent from the first screen to the final interaction.
Who is Özkan Batmaz?
I am Özkan Batmaz, an official ikas Partner and Shopify Partner building themes, stores and apps for e-commerce brands. I write custom ikas themes from scratch, handle migrations and integrations from other platforms, and build apps published on the ikas App Store. I work on the whole store, not just the theme.
Over time, I learned that a strong ecommerce store is about much more than a good-looking theme. Design, product presentation, technical foundations, speed and the path to purchase all need to work together for the store to work well as a whole.
I start each project by understanding the brand and its products. I consider the visual language, product presentation, mobile experience, page speed and buying journey together, so design decisions and technical implementation support each other instead of pulling in different directions.
Today I build live stores on ikas and Shopify and develop apps for the ikas App Store. On custom projects I measure speed on mobile from the design stage onward and continue refining stores after launch based on real usage data.

How I work

I clarify the need first.
Most projects begin with a message on WhatsApp. In the first conversation, we define what the brand needs, what should be built and which priorities matter most.

I put the scope and timeline in writing.
Before the project starts, I clearly document the agreed work and target delivery date. This keeps expectations clear throughout the process.

I connect design with development.
When visual decisions and technical implementation move in the same direction, the store stays more consistent. It also helps decisions move faster without losing important details during development.

I plan for mobile performance from the start.
I measure speed on mobile first on every store. Performance is part of the design and development process rather than a separate task left until the end.

I use real data after launch.
Once a store is live, I review how customers actually use it. That data helps identify which parts of the experience should be refined next.

I refer marketing work to specialist teams.
I handle themes, apps, migrations, store setup and SEO myself. For social media, advertising and product photography or video, I refer clients to specialist teams I work with; you sign the contract and pay that team directly. The technical side of the store stays with me, and we work together where needed.
